The cost of a personal colour analysis is $495+GST and includes the following: 

• Training and education modules on colour theory and how this process works.

• Tangible hands-on scenario training to help apply your new skills in real life.

• You will learn what works, and what does not work, for your complexion.

• A 12-season personally curated colour palette you leave with ($85 value!)

• Express Closet Concierge session.

• Make-Up Colour Consult.

• Access to a Private Facebook Group for ongoing learning & tips.

• Q&A session to review content and answer questions with an expert.

I recommend clients block out about 3 hours for a truly in-depth analysis.

It’s my priority to educate you on the process, make sure you feel empowered and informed, allow for enough practice sessions using your palette so you feel confident in how to use it and feel confident in selecting the makeup, clothing, and accessories that best match your newly curated colour palette.

⁣As a personal colour analyst, I am trained in the 𝟏𝟐-𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢/𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦. This is a scientific process to help clients determine which colour season looks best on them. 🌈

⁣How do I do this?

I use a draping process by placing two fabrics in known colour seasons (𝘪𝘦. 𝘚𝘰𝘧𝘵 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘯 𝘝𝘚 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘯) across my client`s shoulders, comparing the effects certain colours have on my client`s facial features (𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯, 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴, 𝘦𝘵𝘤.). ⁣

⁣When I work with clients, we may do 30 - 50+ colour comparisons, following a specific framework to eliminate seasons until we arrive at a final season. ⁣

⁣This is such an empowering experience for any person because when we wear colours in harmony with us, our attire looks energized, we look credible, and feel more confident! ⁣

Soft Summer VS True Winter | Can you tell which colour season Yusinyu is?

When I complete a colour analysis on my clients, there are a lot of different things I am looking for to help me determine their colour season.

On Yusinyu, we determined that he was a True Winter.

How did I come to this conclusion?

While following a specific draping process, I try to determine which colours:
→ Made his skin and complexion look pale and tired or bright and glowing. (we are aiming for bright and glowing skin).
→ If his eyes are out of focus or sparkling and clear. (sparkling, clear and in focus is the goal).
→ If his features (eyes, cheeks, lips) blend together, or are they being elevated? (let your natural beauty shine).
→ Do I notice the colours first and his face second? (This is a sign that the colour is overpowering).
→ Is his chin blurred or defined? (defined is the goal).

✅ Yusinyu looks best in more saturated, bright colours, like the True Winter palette.
❌ This is also why the Soft Summer shades don’t look great on him.

When watching this reel, you’ll notice that the top colour on my client Liz is always a True Summer, the opposite colour she should be wearing.

As you can see, when Liz wears this muted shade, it makes her look more pale and washed out. ⁣

The bottom colour is Liz’s BEST colour! She is a True Winter, which means she looks stunning in bright, cool colours. 

When Liz is wearing the True Winter drape, her natural features are elevated (look at those eyes), her chin and cheeks look more defined, and she looks credible. ⁣

Had my colour analysis done today- very fun and insightful experience. Learned a lot from Joy about the colour seasons and I really enjoyed learning my results. Super excited to start using what Joy taught me (including using the colour swatches she gave me) to purchase clothes more suited to my face, as well as makeup and jewelry. Joy is very clear and complete in explaining her method of color analysis, which I appreciated. Even though I a comfortable working with color in most contexts, on myself I found the process mystifying. I am now equipped with practical, easy to use tools to help me in choosing the colors which most suit thanks to Joy. After my session, I immediately went through my closet and eliminated items that didn't work, preparing my wardrobe for a more intentional collection and experience.

I had a colour consultation with Joy and am so pleased I did. I walked in with no clue and left with complete clarity about what colours I should wear to look my best. I know I'll save so much time and money when buying clothes and make up from now on.The colour palette to take home is fantastic. I've used it to quickly figure out what to keep and get rid of in my existing wardrobe. It's great for shopping too.The one thing that I would have loved is to spend more time going through my existing make up to see which of it I can keep using.All in all, Joy is a lovely person and it was a wonderful experience. I had my consultation with Joy and absolutely loved it! I booked the appointment to move out of my colour comfort zone of black and gain some insight into what colours looks best on me. Joy was patient and kind going through all of the various drapes and the clothes and makeup I brought to help me determine what looks best for me! I am sure that I will save a ton of money by not buying clothing that I don't wear because I don't look good on me or does not match the rest of my wardrobe. I contacted Joy Colour & Image Consulting to better my knowledge about what colours worked best for me as someone of "darker/deeper" skinned colour. I did express this fear to Madame Joy (in the intake interview) & not only was she keen to listen to my worries but, she was quick to offer solutions to my worries & fears.On the day of our appointment, I was welcomed warmly & professionally into her office. She took the time to dive deep into what I wanted to get out of the appointment & was really kind about my questions and addressed them warmly. Throughout the appointment & experience, Madame Joy encouraged questions & went to great lengths to make sure that I understood various colour schemes as well as how to make better choices when the displayed colours were a tad difficult to call with respect to what will better compliment my complexion. At the end, I was given a "colour fan" with another portable colour card & was taught how to best employ them effectively. Madame Joy was honest to let me know that I will make some mistakes as I start making better colour choices but to be encouraged as I will surely get better at it with time.I cannot recommend Madame Joy's services enough. Her hospitality & professionalism are the best I have come across thus far and deserves great praise.Thank you Madame Joy & all the very best!

Had a fantastic experience with Joy. From the moment we met, to the time I left, I knew I was in good hands. I've always loved colour and to now know which ones are best for me feels really good. It's quite astonishing to see how much the 'right' versus ' wrong' colour changes how you look and feel. Joy explained everything clearly, we looked at makeup colours as well. Lots of laughter and fun.Went home, reviewed and culled my closet to match my colours. Feels really good.Completely recommend doing your colours with Joy.

It was so lovely working with Joy on my colour analysis! She is very knowledgeable on the different colour seasons and their sub-categories and the entire process was eye opening for me. I tried categorizing myself within the seasons before but I realized that I didn't have the trained eye/equipment to be able to do it properly. I'm glad I worked with Joy to find my colour season and would highly recommend an in person session to determine which colours work best for you. Seeing the different drapes on me really made the experience transformative since I could see instantly which colours worked on me and which didn't.Her colour drapes and studio set up were very professional, and she was super personable and patient with explaining the differences between the seasons, and what to look for when shopping for colours in my season. I appreciated how thorough she was, comparing the sets of drapes to really solidify which season I was in, and to find which adjacent season I leaned towards. It was helpful to leave the session equipped with useful shopping tips and the colour swatch fan to be able to bring with me when I shop. I also brought clothing and makeup and it was great swatching them with Joy to understand which pieces were or were not in my colour season.Overall a really amazing experience, thank you so much Joy!

I had the best experience with Joy.I was nervous going in because I had never experienced this type of service before but that quickly dissolved with her warm welcome. We started our session getting to know one another which I appreciated because it made the experience feel more genuine and more comfortable. Joy made sure to explain the color categories and how they’ve evolved and how we would come to learn the pallet that best suited me by breaking it down one by one and side by side. She asked about my experience with colour along the way.I went in feeling fairly confident with my colors but had struggled with a few, mostly which neutrals suited me best. I can confidently say I have now learned which ones work best and understand why I hadn’t felt confident in colors I had previously thought might be good. Examples being colors that overpowered me, washed me oit or highlighted things I was insecure about such as hyperpigmentation.Joy gave me tips on how to work around my pallet, and if necessary how to work outside of it without sacrificing the compliments of my own pallet.I would recommend her services to anyone who is looking for a boost of confidence, to save on their next big fashion purchase or anyone looking for a fun learning experience.

Such a FUN and INFORMATIVE experience! Joy was lovely to work with and took time to get to know me as we worked through the color session. It was an eye opener seeing what my best colors are and discussing wardrobes and makeup. I have taken my color fan on every shopping trip since and have been surprised at how confident it makes me feel when I am looking at clothes and accessories! Way less impulse purchasing and way more thoughtful investing in pieces is letting me build a more wearable collection! Can’t wait to analyze my Fall wardrobe and shop for next season. I found Joy after falling down a rabbit hole of research prompted by Youtubers getting their colour season professionally analyzed. I tried AI tools, followed step-by-step guides, and filters, to hopefully nail down my colour season. I got almost every season (albeit Spring was a bit far off) and countless hours later, was more confused than anything else.I followed Joy on Instagram for a bit and reached out one day with curiosity about doing a colour analysis and a fair share of concern as well. After chatting with her, I thought she was really kind and helpful and figured I'd better go for it, even if just so I could stop anxiously looking at colour boards and blog posts, trying to place myself.Joy was very patient with me as I stumbled through the process and could not see how a colour was better than another. I saw most of my clothes be eliminated through the draping process and kept looking at summer tones longingly. I had really hoped I had been at least in the right ballpark in all my research, or that my closet, at least, didn't have to be fully revisited.When Joy decIared confidently my colour season, I'll admit I was very resistant to it. It felt too bold and too brave. However, as Joy guided me through the drapes of my colours, I realized that I had already been wearing a lot of those, and could see some icy colours that I could also make use of. I recognized colours that Ihad somehow been attracted to, but had more recently eliminated, in favour of the muted, greige, monotone, that I thought was so cozy and trendy. I am hoping that with time, I can peel back the popular greige filter, that I so readily accepted.I believe I made the right decision. With the skills Joy taught me and the resources she provided, I know I can be more conscious in my shopping, finding items that I can wear season after season, regardless of the trend. It also saves me the worry that I've spent too much on a piece that may not even suit me, especially since I want to move away from fast fashion and sustainable clothing can be so expensive.

I just had a colour analysis with Joy and am so happy I got it done. She is so lovely to chat with and very helpful. The session was highly informative, and I finally feel ready to start piecing together a better wardrobe. Working with Joy was one of the BEST investments I made in myself in 2022. I don't live in Vancouver, so I flew from Edmonton to experience her Personal Colour Analysis & Personal Image Analysis Session.Joy's knowledge about colour/style and scientific-based training, along with her kind and supportive personality is what drew me to her. I didn't want to just hire a stylist who would style me in clothes and colours that they like and wear, but instead, someone who was able to celebrate my unique shape and features, and help me dress for the features I do have!To say this was a transformative experience is an understatement. It's hard to put into words how your perspective on clothes, colours, make-up and yourself changes after a session with Joy.Before working with Joy, I never considered myself to be stylish. I didn't know how to put certain looks together, I would walk into a clothing store feeling overwhelmed, I would spend money on clothes that didn't look great on me (and I didn't know why).Since doing these sessions with Joy, I know EXACTLY what colours, outfits, styles, and materials look great on ME! I went to see Joy for a colour assessment and I was really blown away with the difference having this consult made. I realized, even though I have a lot of items in my closet, very few were doing anything for me. As a result, I shop much more intentionally. It's saved me a ton of money and I was finally able to purge the items from my closet that i 'loved' but never seemed to actually wear. It's really the difference between those 'I love your outfit' comments versus 'that looks great on you' comments. I can't recommend getting a colour assessment profiling from Joy enough, I really wish I did this years ago.

I took Joy's Personal Colour Analysis and was very surprised at the results. I'm typically drawn by warm tones and so my wardrobe is mostly filled with these tones. I discovered; however, that the best colours for me are cool tones. Joy's step-by-step process clearly showed me that I looked best in cooler shades and I didn't have many clothes in my ideal shades. Even my hair colour was the wrong shade! I'm now excited when I go shopping because I don't have to second guess my choices. I take my little swatch book with me to make sure I'm choosing wisely. I've even gotten good at it online 🙂 As a public speaker, it's important for me to stand in front of an audience feeling and looking my best. Joy's Personal Colour Analysis was priceless for me. Thanks to Joy, I have the least amount of clothes I’ve ever had and the most to wear!! Getting ready to go out for any occasion is so easy.
